Inuyasha is a Japanese manga series by Rumiko Takahashi, adapted into an anime television series produced by Sunrise that aired on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television from October 2000 to September 2004, followed by a direct sequel, Inuyasha: The Final Act (2009–2010). It follows Kagome Higurashi, a schoolgirl transported to Japan's feudal era, who joins the half-demon Inuyasha in a quest to reassemble the shattered Sacred Jewel of Four Souls, opposing threats including Inuyasha's own half-brother, the full-demon Sesshomaru.
