Kimba the White Lion (1965)

Osamu Tezuka's Jungle Emperor (ジャングル大帝) manga, serialized from 1950, follows Kimba (originally named Leo), a white lion cub who survives a shipwreck after his father Panja's death and returns to the African jungle determined to build a peaceful coexistence between animals and humans.
