Love Live! School Idol Project (2013)

Sunrise's television anime adaptation of the Love Live! mixed-media project, following nine students at the financially struggling Otonokizaka Academy as they form the school-idol group μ's to attract new enrollment and save the school from closure. The first season premiered January 6, 2013, on Tokyo MX, with a second season following in 2014 and a compilation film, Love Live! The School Idol Movie, in 2015; the franchise's success launched the sequel series Love Live! Sunshine!! and a broader multimedia franchise. Seiko and licensed jewelry maker U-Treasure marked the anime's tenth broadcast anniversary in 2023 with a serial-numbered chronograph built around μ's iconography, merchandise tied to the franchise rather than a watch depicted in any episode.
