From IMWDb
Buried Screams

C. Dean Andersson's horror novel, published by Zebra Books in 1992, is set in Stoneridge, Kansas, where thirty-five years earlier children were screaming, and where something buried is stirring again. The town's dead begin to visit the living in their dreams: the Reverend Anthony Yarburough wakes to find Susan Clayburn, whose funeral he has just conducted, astride him, Karl Clayburn dreams of the mother he hated, and old Axel Lindholm is warned by his dead wife, Ann, that the big trouble is near. Watches

Bulova (unidentified model)
Axel wakes at 3:07 in the morning from a dream in which his dead wife Ann, standing on her grave, turns into something else. Still weak from what may not have been flu, he reaches for the nightstand, where his glasses lie beside the gold Bulova wristwatch Ann gave him on their fiftieth wedding anniversary, and beside both a ball-peen hammer. He puts on the glasses, checks the time, and gets up clutching the hammer, promising Ann he will do what he can. The maker is named; the model is not.

Source text: Next to the lamp were his glasses and a gold Bulova wristwatch Ann had given him on their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Also on the nightstand was a ball-peen hammer. (C.
