From IMWDb
Longarm in the Cross Fire

This western, published by Jove in September 1993 under the Tabor Evans byline, is number 177 in the long-running Longarm series about Deputy U.S. Marshal Custis Long. In a Denver courtroom Frenchy Lemond is found guilty of murder, and two gun-toting sisters snatch him off the stand and shoot their way out; Longarm tracks them, although Lemond once saved his life in a snowbound mountain pass. Watches

Ingersoll watch
Longarm dresses in poor light after his time with Nurse Allison, dragging his clothes, boots, hat and gun out from under the bed. The last thing he adjusts is his Ingersoll watch, whose gold chain is fixed at its other end to a solid-brass .44-caliber derringer; he has already checked the loads in the double-action Colt .44-.40 he wears butt forward on his left hip. The watch is half of a concealed weapon rig, and the text gives it no more than the maker's name.

Source text: The last thing that Longarm adjusted was his Ingersoll watch with a gold chain that was also affixed to a solid-brass .44-caliber derringer. (Tabor Evans, Longarm in the Cross Fire, scan cataloged as Jove Books, 1993, p. 28; Internet Archive scan OCR)
