Gwen C. Watkins's novel, published by No Exit Press in 2008, is set in the Australian wine trade, where the cover copy says wine and big money prove an intoxicating and murderous blend. Sarah Bennett, an importer whose husband Elliott has died, arrives in Adelaide for contract meetings with the Addison Group and its Bluestone Cellars label, spars with the executive Taylor Robbins and has her hotel room ransacked, while a man known as Thunder follows tourists under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Tissot (unidentified model): Moved to a penthouse suite after the break-in, and too troubled to sleep after giving her statement at three in the morning, Sarah dozes on the sofa and wakes to bright sunshine. She checks her Tissot watch, an anniversary present from her late husband Elliott, sees that her nine-thirty meeting is a quarter of an hour away, and races for the bathroom; the taxi drops her at the Addison Group's Wakefield Street offices at exactly half past nine. The maker is named; the model is not.
