David Ferrell's black comedy gives the Boston Red Sox a phenom who may be the next Babe Ruth and may also be a serial killer. Neville "Wolf" Wulfmeyer, the vice president who runs the club for its elderly owner, and the manager Augie Sharkey have the pennant in sight when Barney Schachter of Boston homicide walks into the front office.
