Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is a superhero created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko for Marvel Comics, first appearing in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962. Bitten by a radioactive spider and gaining wall-crawling, web-slinging abilities, the character has since starred in his own long-running comic book series and been adapted across many films, television series, and games, including Marvel Studios' Tom Holland-led films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
