Patrick Foss's first novel is a crime story set in post-bubble Osaka. Chris Ryan, an American drifting through Japan, is drawn by Jessica Romano, a blonde from Indiana who has spent seven years as a hostess in the most exclusive clubs of Tokyo and Osaka, into a kidnapping plot hatched in a love hotel.
