Robinne Lee's 2017 novel follows Solène Marchand, a thirty-nine-year-old Los Angeles gallerist, into a romance with Hayes Campbell, the twenty-year-old singer of the boy band August Moon. A TAG Heuer endorsement runs through the book as one of the trappings of Hayes's fame. (Open Library)
Watches
- TAG Heuer (unidentified model)
- TAG Heuer reaches Hayes through a brand representative, Raj, who arrives with a selection of watches for him to choose from, one for an evening event and one for every day, and an offer to front a solo advertising campaign. Hayes later leaves the TAG Heuer on Solène's credenza with an invitation to return it in the South of France, and the campaign and its photo shoot recur as the relationship develops. The text names the brand only, never a model. The film adaptation puts a TAG Heuer Carrera on Hayes and turns it into the recurring watch that passes between the couple; The Hollywood Reporter states that the novel named a Carrera, but the novel's own pages name only the brand.
