The Ninety-Nine (1984)

The Ninety-Nine opens Jerry Ahern's Track series: Johannes Krieger, a master of disguise who leads a Nazi underground, has stolen one hundred American nuclear warheads, and Dan Track has minutes to find the one set to go off in downtown Chicago. Timex (unidentified model): Dark-haired, mustached and scarred for the part, with a gun belt and handcuff tie tack, Krieger fits his detonation device to the warhead on a covered pool table and checks the Timex that goes with the new disguise. He consults it again while talking to his hostess and once more as he runs from the bomb, judging that it will detonate in twenty-seven minutes. The maker is named; the model is not.
