Wildwood Flowers (1996)

Julia Watts's first novel, published by Naiad Press in 1996, follows Andie, who has taken a job as assistant professor of English at Randall College, a Christian institution in Morgan, Kentucky, and her partner Bev, who has given up her job as office manager of a women's clinic in Boston to move there with her. The author's note says Watts, a native of southeastern Kentucky, was living in Knoxville as a part-time nanny and teacher when the book appeared. (Open Library)
