Belforte was the secondary brand Benrus introduced around the turn of the 1960s for budget and export pieces: manual-wind watches on Swiss or American ébauches, cased in base metal, plating or steel, with the clean mid-century dials of the parent line. Benrus hired Jerry Lewis to pitch the brand in the 1960s. (Delray Watch; Wikipedia: Benrus)
