Bradley Time registered its script watch-and-clock trademark in 1955, then built its cultural identity around licensed character watches. As a division of Elgin National Industries, it held the national Disney character-watch license from 1972 through 1987 and produced hundreds of variations rather than a single standard Mickey design.
