Chronoswiss is an independent Munich-founded maison Gerd-Rüdiger Lang established in 1983 to build high-grade mechanical watches through the height of the quartz crisis. Its 1987 Régulateur was the first serially produced wristwatch to display hours, minutes and seconds on separate dials in the historical regulator-clock layout, and the brand became known for fluted onion crowns and exposed screwed lugs on otherwise classical round cases. Oliver Ebstein acquired Chronoswiss in 2012 and relocated it to Lucerne, where it still builds roughly 1,500 watches a year. (Wikipedia; Chronoswiss)
