Jaquet Droz is a Swiss watch and clock brand tracing its name to Pierre Jaquet-Droz (1721 to 1790), the La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmaker and automaton-maker whose animated dolls toured the courts of eighteenth-century Europe. Revived in the twentieth century and now part of the Swatch Group, the modern manufacture is known for grand feu enamel dials and automaton complications alongside simpler dress watches. (Wikipedia)
