Lancet was a marque used for early-20th-century Swiss watches, among them the wire-lugged trench wristwatches that let First World War soldiers read the time without reaching for a pocket watch. Little documented as a house, it survives mainly through vintage examples, most visibly the gold trench watch at the centre of the Pulp Fiction (1994) monologue. (Quentin Tarantino Archives)
