Michel Herbelin is a French watchmaker founded in 1947 by Michel Herbelin in Charquemont, in the Franche-Comté region near the Swiss border, initially trading under the name Impec before adopting the founder's own name in 1965. Every Herbelin timepiece is still conceived, assembled, and inspected in the Charquemont workshops. In 1988, Michel's sons launched the Newport collection in tribute to his love of sailing, its porthole-styled bezel becoming the house's signature model and a fixture of French sport-chic design.
