Orient is a Japanese watchmaker founded in Tokyo in 1950 as a successor to Toyo Tokei Seizo, one of the country's oldest watch manufacturers, later becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Seiko Epson. Orient is known for building its own in-house mechanical movements at a value price point, with the compressor-cased "King Diver" and "King Master" lines among its best-known vintage designs.
