Perrelet

Perrelet takes its name from Abraham-Louis Perrelet, the Le Locle watchmaker who built a self-winding pocket-watch mechanism around 1777, an oscillating weight that wound the movement from ordinary wrist and pocket motion and the invention now credited as the ancestor of the automatic watch. Perrelet reportedly sold examples to Abraham-Louis Breguet, who refined the idea into his own "perpetuelle" watches. The modern Perrelet brand relaunched in 1995 under the same name, building its identity around double-rotor automatic movements, most visibly in the Turbine collection's spinning dial-side rotor blades.
