Sharper Image is an American specialty retailer founded in San Francisco in 1977 by Richard Thalheimer, known for gadget-forward products such as air purifiers, massage chairs and electronics. Watches under its house label were commissioned production carrying the branding rather than in-house horology: typically ana-digi quartz pieces leaning on world-time and chronograph features. The original company entered bankruptcy in 2008; the name continues as a licensed brand.
