Star Jewelry was founded in 1946 in Motomachi, Yokohama, as a jeweller selling mainly to foreign customers, with a workshop inside the shop from the start; it still keeps an in-house workshop near the Motomachi flagship. In 2000 it became the first Japanese jewellery brand to open its own online store. Its steel ladies' watches carry diamond-set square and round cases alongside the jewellery lines. (Star Jewelry)
