Aquaman (Arthur Curry) is a superhero created by writer Mort Weisinger and artist Paul Norris, first appearing in a backup story in More Fun Comics #73, cover-dated November 1941. The son of an Atlantean queen and a human lighthouse keeper, he commands telepathic control over sea life and rules Atlantis as its king, and has since starred in his own long-running comic book series and been adapted across films, television series, and games, including James Wan's Aquaman (2018) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), both starring Jason Momoa.
