きばいやんせ！私 is a 2019 Japanese theatrical comedy directed by Masaharu Take from a screenplay by Shin Adachi and Tomoyuki Yamaguchi, released nationwide on 9 March 2019. Kaho stars as Takako Kojima, a television announcer demoted after a tabloid scandal and sent to cover a fading local festival in Minamiosumi, a town at the southern tip of Japan's Osumi Peninsula where she spent part of her childhood. Reconnecting with old friends including Taro (Dai), Kojima resolves to restore the town's traditional festival to its former glory, drawing the whole community into the effort. The film was shot around the Yudaki waterfall, familiar to audiences from the opening credits of NHK's taiga drama Segodon. Shingo Tsurumi appears in the supporting cast. (eiga.com)
