Michael Powell's 1969 romantic comedy-drama, adapted by Peter Yeldham from Norman Lindsay's semi-autobiographical novel, follows the Australian painter Bradley Morahan (James Mason, who also co-produced), who retreats to an island on the Great Barrier Reef and finds a model in the young islander Cora Ryan (Helen Mirren, in her first major film role), with Jack MacGowran as Nat Kelly. The competing catalog Watches in Movies had listed the same sighting, an Omega Seamaster on Bradley Morahan, from a reader submission in February 2014; the column repeats the catalog's identification and prints no frame of this film.
