Before Sunset

Before Sunset is Richard Linklater's 2004 sequel to Before Sunrise, written with its two stars and played out in something close to real time: nine years after their night in Vienna, the American novelist Jesse (Ethan Hawke) meets Céline (Julie Delpy) again at a Paris bookshop reading and they walk, talk and ride through the city in the hours before his flight home. It was the first release of Warner Independent Pictures, which premiered it at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 10, 2004 and opened it in the United States on July 2, 2004.
