Brand New Landscape (見はらし世代, Miharashi Sedai) is a 2025 Japanese drama and the feature debut of writer-director Yuiga Danzuka, who at the time became the youngest Japanese filmmaker selected for the Cannes Film Festival's Directors' Fortnight. Set in a redeveloping Shibuya, orchid-delivery driver Ren (Kodai Kurosaki) crosses paths with his estranged father Hajime (Kenichi Endo), a landscape designer he has avoided since their mother Yumiko (Haruka Igawa) died, while his sister Emi (Mai Kiryu) quietly presses ahead with her own wedding plans; the film follows the family through what becomes their last night together before it scatters again. Aoi Nakamura, Mutsuo Yoshioka, and Akiko Kikuchi also appear. Siglo released the film in Japanese theaters on 10 October 2025. (The Hollywood Reporter; eiga.com)
