Walt Disney Productions' animated musical fantasy, produced under Ben Sharpsteen and directed by Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske, and Clyde Geronimi, based on Charles Perrault's 1697 fairy tale. Cinderella, a widowed aristocrat's daughter reduced to servitude by her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, is granted the chance to attend the royal ball by her fairy godmother, whose magic transforms mice, a pumpkin, and rags for one midnight only. Released February 15, 1950, it restored Walt Disney Productions to profitability after a run of wartime box-office failures. In 2023, Citizen released a Disney-licensed EXCEED model themed on Cinderella's dress and the stroke of midnight that ends the spell. (Wikipedia)
