(IMDb) José Giovanni directs and co-wrote the script with Alain Delon, who also stars as ex-convict Jacques Batkin opposite Carla Gravina as his wife Muriel and Charles Vanel as police inspector Jean Ritter; the French-Italian crime drama, released in France as Comme un boomerang on 17 August 1976 and abroad as Boomerang, drew nearly 800,000 admissions in France.
