Walerian Borowczyk's anthology film sets libertinism across four historical vignettes: a young man's seaside seduction of his cousin in "La Marée," a girl's sexual awakening in "Thérèse philosophe," Countess Elizabeth Báthory's blood-soaked orgies in "Erzsébet Báthory," and the incestuous intrigues of "Lucrezia Borgia." (Wikipedia) Fabrice Luchini opens the film as André in "La Marée," opposite Lise Danvers as his cousin Julie; the film premiered in France on 10 May 1974.

- Bulova Accutron
- Worn by Fabrice Luchini as André. Montres de Luxe identifies André's watch, seen clearly in a close-up, as a Bulova Accutron, and hedges that it is probably Luchini's own -- the outlet notes he has more recently been seen wearing a Patek Philippe.
