Reformed supervillain Gru and his family enter witness protection after his vengeful former rival Maxime Le Mal escapes prison, while five of Gru's Minions gain superpowers through a new "Mega Minions" program. Steve Carell voices Gru, with Kristen Wiig as Lucy Wilde, Will Ferrell as Maxime Le Mal, and Joey King as new character Poppy Prescott.
