Erika 38 is a 2019 Japanese crime drama directed by Yuichi Hibi, released 7 June 2019 through Katsu-do. Miyoko Asada plays Satoko Watabe, a Shinbashi hostess who reinvents herself as "Erika," running an elaborate multilevel-marketing and investment fraud built on promised international development deals, siphoning money from victims while maintaining a double life across continents before the scheme collapses under its own weight.
