Extinction is a 2018 science-fiction thriller directed by Ben Young. Michael Peña plays Peter, a factory engineer whose recurring nightmares of an alien invasion turn real when unidentified forces attack the city where he lives with his wife Alice, played by Lizzy Caplan, and their two daughters; the film pivots on a revelation about what the invaders actually are and why they have come. Mike Colter and Israel Broussard co-star. Universal produced the film before selling distribution rights to Netflix, which released it on July 27, 2018. (Wikipedia)
