Watches

Bulova Accutron

Worn by Viggo Mortensen as Tony Lip. Out of work while the Copacabana is closed, Tony pawns his watch for 50 dollars early in the film. (GradeSaver) On the Polish forum KMZiZ in March 2019 pechagto posted a frame of a gold watch with a dark dial held up to the camera upside down, with the crown at 4, and asked what it was; zbylak thought it looked like a Seiko. Edmund Exley then matched it to a version of the Bulova Accutron with its crown at 4, pointing to the characteristic logo above the name and the similar hands, with a Worn & Wound photograph for comparison, and Hard Rockin' Amigo found the two identical. The comparison supports the Accutron line; the frame does not resolve the model or reference. (KMZiZ; KMZiZ; KMZiZ; KMZiZ)
