Eisuke Naito's theatrical monster-thriller crosses two real-world Japanese anxieties, "dark part-time job" (yami baito) crime rings and wild brown-bear ("higuma") attacks, into a single survival plot. Fuku Suzuki stars as Koyanai, an eighteen-year-old whose father's suicide over tokushu sagi fraud debt derails his college plans and pushes him into a dark-job kidnapping ring; Wan Marui plays his combat-capable partner Sakurako Wakabayashi, Takashi Ukaji plays hunter Kanzaki, and Satoshi Kanada, of comedy duo Hannya, plays Angel, the messaging-app broker who assigns the ring's crimes. Announced in 2023 and originally set for a November 2025 release, producer Lat-Lon delayed the film twice after real bear maulings made national headlines, ultimately opening in Japan on January 23, 2026.
