Hit Man

A mild-mannered psychology professor moonlighting for police as a fake contract killer starts falling for a woman who wants her abusive husband dead. (Wikipedia) Directed by Richard Linklater, who co-wrote the screenplay with star Glen Powell, the film loosely adapts Skip Hollandsworth's 2001 Texas Monthly article about a real Houston police professor turned faux hitman. Powell plays Gary Johnson, who assumes the undercover alias "Ron" to meet Madison, played by Adria Arjona; the film premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and streamed on Netflix from June 2024.
