The watch is a Kobold Arctic Diver "Swiss," reference KD 832121-C, fitted to a paracord strap for the film; Watch-ID describes the skull emblem as a probable custom detail rather than a standard model feature (Watch-ID). It first appears on Border Patrol agent Lee Davis's wrist in the opening flashback, moments before he gives it to his partner Jim Rhodes as "a watch made from climbing rope" doubling as emergency gear, shortly before Davis is killed in the meth-lab ambush that opens the film (Wikipedia). Rhodes (Steve Austin) stays in long sleeves for the rest of the film, so his own wrist is never shown on screen; Watch-ID's page names Rhodes as the wearer, but the confirmed on-screen wearing is Davis's.
