The only Blaine in Hamilton's own records is a 14-karat gold, 10-size dress pocket watch the brand listed in its 1930s and 1940s catalogs and had dropped by 1954, which a contemporary twentysomething would be unlikely to be carrying. The credit most plausibly names a later wristwatch reusing the name, one that has not surfaced in any accessible Hamilton catalog or dealer record.
