Inside Men

Inside Men (내부자들) is a 2015 South Korean political action thriller written and directed by Woo Min-ho, adapted from Yoon Tae-ho's webtoon of the same name. Newspaper editor-in-chief Lee Kang-hee (Baek Yoon-sik) uses the press to install National Assembly member Jang Pil-woo (Lee Kyung-young) as a leading presidential candidate, backed by a conglomerate's secret slush fund; when disgraced political fixer Ahn Sang-goo (Lee Byung-hun) and ambitious prosecutor Woo Jang-hoon (Cho Seung-woo) separately go after the conspiracy, their paths converge. Worn by Lee Kyung-young as Jang Pil-woo. A Rolex is handed to Jang Pil-woo on screen as a bribe. Timeforum poster 빨강토끼 identifies it the day after the film's release: "극중 뇌물로 이경영에게 건네는 시계가 로렉스더군요.. 아마 속칭 아빠시계라 불리는 DJ 콤비 쥬빌레인것 같던데" (The watch handed over as a bribe to [actor] Lee Kyung-young in the film was a Rolex... I think it's the so-called "dad watch," a two-tone Jubilee Datejust). Two independent commenters converge on the same two-tone Datejust that same day, 홈타운1 ("상징적인 의미의 롤렉스죠...DJ", a symbolically meaningful Rolex... DJ) and 스타택 ("데이져스트 콤비 샴페인골드판", Datejust combi, champagne-gold dial); a third, 응큼이, adds the exact reference: "역시 116233 샴페이판" (as expected, ref. 116233, champagne dial).
