From IMWDb
L.A. Confidential

Three Los Angeles police officers with clashing methods and ambitions are drawn together investigating a massacre at a diner, uncovering a conspiracy that reaches into the LAPD's own ranks. (Wikipedia) Directed by Curtis Hanson and adapted from James Ellroy's novel, the film stars Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey, and Guy Pearce as detectives Bud White, Jack Vincennes, and Ed Exley, set in early-1950s Los Angeles. Released by Warner Bros. in September 1997, it won two Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Kim Basinger.

Watches

Rolex Precision
Worn by Guy Pearce as Ed Exley. BAMF Style identifies Exley's watch as a stainless steel vintage-style Rolex with a silver-white dial and 6:00 sub-register on an expanding bracelet, describing it in the gear list as a "Rolex Precision." The article's own detailed analysis, however, concludes the watch's plain "Rolex" dial marking (without an "Oyster" designation) means it likely lacks the waterproof Oyster case, and speculates it may be a prop built to resemble a contemporary bubbleback rather than a specific dateable reference; the identification is presented as tentative rather than confirmed. Bulova Surf King
Worn by Kevin Spacey as Jack Vincennes. The same BAMF Style article on Ed Exley's costuming notes, in passing, that fellow detective Jack Vincennes wears "his distinctively strapped Bulova Surf King," without giving a reference number or further description. (BAMF Style)
