Let's Go Karaoke! (カラオケ行こ！, Karaoke Iko!) is a 2024 Japanese comedy directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita and written by Akiko Nogi, adapted from Yama Wayama's manga of the same name. Go Ayano plays Kyoji Narita, a yakuza lieutenant whose gang's karaoke competition is approaching; unable to sing well enough to avoid an embarrassing forfeit, he recruits Satomi Oka (Jun Saito), the head of his junior high school's choir club preparing for his own graduation performance, to coach him. Toei released the film in Japan on 12 January 2024; it won the Nippon Cinema Award at the 24th Nippon Connection festival, and Ayano won Best Actor at the 48th Japan Academy Film Prize. (Wikipedia)
