Walt Disney Feature Animation's animated science fiction comedy-drama, written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois from an original story by Sanders. Experiment 626, a destructive genetically engineered creature created by a mad scientist and exiled to Earth, crash-lands in Hawaii and is adopted -- under the name Stitch -- by Lilo, a lonely young girl being raised by her older sister Nani, before the two agents sent to recapture him force him to reckon with what family means. Distributed by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, it premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on June 16, 2002, and went into wide release on June 21, 2002. (Wikipedia)
