From IMWDb
Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro

Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro (ルパン三世 カリオストロの城), directed by Hayao Miyazaki in his feature directorial debut, is the second theatrical film built around Monkey Punch's gentleman thief Lupin III, released by Tokyo Movie Shinsha on December 15, 1979. After a casino heist turns up counterfeit bills, Lupin traces them to the tiny Grand Duchy of Cagliostro, where he sets out to rescue Princess Clarisse from Count Cagliostro's forced marriage and expose the counterfeiting operation, aided by his crew and pursued by the ever-persistent Inspector Zenigata. A modest performer on release, the film is now widely regarded as the franchise's most acclaimed entry. (Wikipedia)
