Cho Ui-seok directed this South Korean crime thriller (Korean: 마스터), built around the manhunt for Jin Hyun-pil (Lee Byung-hun), the charismatic chairman of a Ponzi-scheme investment firm called One Network who flees the country with tens of thousands of victims' money and assumes a new identity. Financial-crimes investigator Kim Jae-myung (Kang Dong-won) pursues him from Seoul to Manila, pressuring Jin's technically brilliant lieutenant Park Jang-goon (Kim Woo-bin) to turn on his boss along the way.
