Michael Clayton, written and directed by Tony Gilroy, was released by Warner Bros. Pictures in October 2007. George Clooney plays the title character, a law-firm fixer whose gambling debts and dying restaurant venture leave him with no leverage when a senior litigator, Tom Wilkinson's Arthur Edens, breaks down mid-deposition and turns on the agrochemical client he has defended for six years. Tilda Swinton won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress as the client's general counsel. (IMDb)
Watches
- Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control
- Worn by George Clooney as Michael Clayton. Montres de Luxe identifies Clayton's watch as a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Hometime on a steel bracelet, the dual-time member of the Master Control family, which suits a man whose job is being in the wrong city at four in the morning. (Montres de Luxe) The production credits Jaeger-LeCoultre as a supplier of watches, which corroborates the brand independently of any spotting; it does not by itself establish which reference reached Clooney's wrist, and no source resolves one, so the row links the collection rather than a Hometime reference. Note also that Clooney was an Omega ambassador at the time, which makes the placement a conspicuous exception rather than the usual celebrity-brand alignment.Scene image neededSubmit a scene still!
