Kim Tae-yoon writes and directs this South Korean crime drama (Korean: 재심), based on the real 2000 Iksan taxi-driver murder case. Teenager Hyun-woo (Kang Ha-neul) is coerced by police into a false confession and spends ten years in prison for a murder he did not commit. After his release, debt-ridden lawyer Lee Joon-young (Jung Woo) takes on Hyun-woo's case, at first hoping only to curry favor with a prestigious firm, but grows determined to overturn the wrongful conviction and expose the truth. The film opened February 15, 2017. (IMDb, Wikipedia)
Watches
- Hamilton (unidentified model)
- Worn by Jung Woo as Lee Joon-young. Torino, writing in Timeforum's "매체속의 시계들" (Watches in Media) series, singles out Joon-young's Hamilton as the one identifiable watch in the film: "사실 알아볼만한건 정우씨의 해밀턴 이거 하나정도네요." (Timeforum) Hankyung's Money magazine independently confirms the brand while captioning the same office scene: "《재심》에서 해밀턴 시계를 착용한 주인공 이준영 변호사(정우 분)" (protagonist lawyer Lee Joon-young, played by Jung Woo, wearing a Hamilton watch in New Trial). Neither source names a line or reference; the film frame shows a round, light-colored dial on a dark leather strap. (Hankyung Money)
