New Trial (2017)

From IMWDb
New Trial

Kim Tae-yoon writes and directs this South Korean crime drama (Korean: 재심), based on the real 2000 Iksan taxi-driver murder case. Teenager Hyun-woo (Kang Ha-neul) is coerced by police into a false confession and spends ten years in prison for a murder he did not commit. After his release, debt-ridden lawyer Lee Joon-young (Jung Woo) takes on Hyun-woo's case, at first hoping only to curry favor with a prestigious firm, but grows determined to overturn the wrongful conviction and expose the truth. The film opened February 15, 2017. (IMDb, Wikipedia)

Watches

Hamilton (unidentified model)
Worn by Jung Woo as Lee Joon-young. Torino, writing in Timeforum's "매체속의 시계들" (Watches in Media) series, singles out Joon-young's Hamilton as the one identifiable watch in the film: "사실 알아볼만한건 정우씨의 해밀턴 이거 하나정도네요." (Timeforum) Hankyung's Money magazine independently confirms the brand while captioning the same office scene: "《재심》에서 해밀턴 시계를 착용한 주인공 이준영 변호사(정우 분)" (protagonist lawyer Lee Joon-young, played by Jung Woo, wearing a Hamilton watch in New Trial). Neither source names a line or reference; the film frame shows a round, light-colored dial on a dark leather strap. (Hankyung Money)
