Walt Disney Productions' animated adventure comedy, directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, Hamilton Luske, and Clyde Geronimi, adapted from Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians. London Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita's litter of fifteen puppies is kidnapped by the fur-obsessed socialite Cruella de Vil; the pair's cross-country rescue gathers 84 additional Dalmatian puppies along the way, bringing the total to 101. Released January 25, 1961, it was among the first animated features to use xerography in its ink-and-paint process. (Wikipedia)
