Paris Blues (1961)

From IMWDb
Paris Blues

Two American jazz musicians living in Paris fall for a pair of visiting American tourists, forcing each man to weigh his expatriate life against the possibility of love back home. (Wikipedia) Directed by Martin Ritt, the film stars Paul Newman as trombonist Ram Bowen and Sidney Poitier as saxophonist Eddie Cook, alongside Joanne Woodward and Diahann Carroll; it was released by United Artists in September 1961 and features an original score by Duke Ellington.

Watches

Rolex watch
Worn by Paul Newman as Ram Bowen. BAMF Style describes an "elegantly simple dress watch" on Newman's left wrist throughout the film, "likely stainless steel rather than gold," with a round white dial and non-numeric hour markers on a black leather strap, nearly a decade before he began wearing the Rolex Daytona that later set auction records. The brand identification was suggested by Jamie Weiss in a DMARGE article that BAMF Style cites and endorses; no reference number is given. (BAMF Style)
