Ridley Scott's science-fiction horror film, written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof, returns to the universe of Alien without continuing its story: late in the twenty-first century the crew of the ship Prometheus follows a star map found among the relics of ancient Earth cultures to a distant world, looking for the origins of humanity. Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green play the archaeologists who find the map, with Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce. Wrist Enthusiast's survey of Oris watches on screen writes that Marshall-Green, as the archaeologist Charlie Holloway, "is seen in the film wearing an Oris Williams F1 Team Skeleton Engine Date", a watch it singles out for "its completely exposed dial, including the full date-wheel", and it links Oris's own page for reference 01 733 7613 4114 on the rubber strap. It names no scene. The pairing is an odd one on paper, a 2009 Formula One team watch aboard a ship that sails late in the twenty-first century.
