Random Hearts, directed by Sydney Pollack from Warren Adler's novel, was released by Columbia Pictures in October 1999. Harrison Ford plays Dutch Van Den Broeck, an internal affairs officer who discovers his late wife had been having an affair after a plane crash, and forms a relationship with the congresswoman, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, whose husband died in the same affair.
